Through Match Making, Honghu’s Lotus Roots of Around 100 Tons Sold to Guangdong

The Jingzhou Center for Agriculturaland Rural Development recently joined hands with the Department of Agricultureand Rural Affairs of Guangdong Province to help with the sale of agriculturalproducts in Jingzhou. Consumption-based agriculture-assisting enterprises inShenzhen ordered about 100 tons of lotus roots from Honghu city.

A few days ago, a special cooperativefor lotus root planting in Honghu sent a pennant, which writes “Helping tofight against the epidemic enthusiastically, focusing on agriculturaldevelopment”, and a thank-you letter to the Jingzhou Center for Agriculturaland Rural Development. It’s learned that amid the epidemic, the cooperativefound it hard to sell lotus roots it has planted. Since April, through activecoordination, the Center has contacted a few consumption-basedagriculture-assisting enterprises in Shenzhen, such as China Overseas Propertyand China Overseas Property Management, in an effort to expand sales channelsfor agricultural products of this cooperative. Currently, lotus roots plantedby the cooperative and surrounding farmers were sold out.

After receiving lotus roots, theDepartment of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Guangdong Province and the twoenterprises were all satisfied with the superior quality and attractive pricesof Jingzhou's agricultural products, and expressed their willingness to reachlong-term partnerships with agricultural enterprises in the city. The JingzhouCenter for Agricultural and Rural Development is now looking for suitableagricultural and sideline products in accordance with their requirements. Thesecond and third batches of agricultural and sideline products from Jingzhouwill walk into more and more families in Guangdong.

It’s learned that consumption-basedagriculture-assisting enterprises in Shenzhen have also actively publicized andrecommended Jingzhou's agricultural products, attracting the attention of ChinaOverseas’ branches in Hainan and Shanxi provinces. Currently, the Hainan Branchand Shanxi Branch of China Overseas have negotiated with agriculture-relatedenterprises in our city, and ordered 3,000 cartons of fruits and 3,000 cartonsof crayfish.
