On the morning of May 16, the officeof Shishou’s project coordination and construction headquarters organized ameeting on the feasibility study report of a general aviation airport in thecity.

Zhu Haiming, an engineer of CCCCFourth Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd., conducted detailed analysis and assessmentof airport construction necessity, aviation forecasts, site selection planningand construction scale, and exchanged views on concrete issues with relevantdepartments in the city.

The meeting pointed out that thegeneral airport project is a valuable opportunity for the development ofShishou city, as well as a big and good thing for the development ofsurrounding regions. The construction and use of the general aviation airportwill address the demands of the city for developing its tourism industry,carrying out the aviation industry layout, and driving the growth of relatedindustries, and satisfy the needs for combat readiness, disaster relief,emergencies, etc. It will have great significance to and a far-reachinginfluence on Shishou city and surrounding regions. The CPC Shishou MunicipalCommittee and Shishou Municipal People’s Government will push forward itsconstruction as a key project, and make all-out efforts to show support and offerservices, striving to complete, launch and utilize the project as soon aspossible.
