However, the unexpected epidemic hascaused an adverse impact on agricultural production in spring in the city.General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out that China, in face of risks andchallenges, should stabilize agriculture and ensure the security of grains andimportant non-staple food.
InJingzhou, agriculture-related enterprises and individuals can receive variouswork and production resumption support without going out, such as door-to-doorenterprise services, field application of agricultural technology andmachinery, allocation of agricultural supplies and online sales of agriculturalproducts via livestreaming.
Thecity's agriculture and rural affairs system, acting as a waiter, salesman,instructor and supervisor, has made every effort to provide farmers andagricultural enterprises with a good production environment and policyguarantee, and stabilize grain and vegetable supply, thus laying a solidfoundation for agricultural production in Jingzhou.
Whileimplementing epidemic prevention and control, the city also focuses onagricultural production. A series of favorable agricultural policies have laida solid foundation for summer grain harvest, and injected impetus and vitalityinto economic recovery.
Upto now, the work and production resumption rate of agricultural enterprisesacross the city has reached 100%. Jingzhou has completed the crop sown area of4.73 million mu and aquatic seedling planting area of 3.0615 million mu. Besides, there are1.4053 million pigs and 31.4118 million poultry being raised in the city.
