The first wetlandpark in North Jingzhou, the North Jingzhou Wetland Water System Park project isunder construction, which is expected to be completed in the first half of nextyear.

Adjacent toChudu Avenue in the east, Jizhi Road in the west, Taihugang in the south, andYingcheng Road in the north, it covers a total area of 754 acres, 35.30% ofwhich are water areas. With a total investment of 280 million yuan, it startedconstruction at the end of 2019.

The Park will includeGuanghuyuan Park, Water System Park and Sports Activity Center and otherfacilities, which is taking shape gradually.

At theconstruction site of Guanghuyuan Park, roads, waterfronts, landscape bridgesand docks in the park have been basically completed. Basketball courts, gateballcourts, children's entertainment facilities and underground garage will bebuilt soon.

With the conceptof sponge city as the construction idea, it can satisfy the needs of citizensfor leisure and entertainment and, at the same time, plays an important role inrainwater drainage of North Jingzhou.

According to theproject constructor, Jingzhou Luyuan Municipal Engineering Co., Ltd., the Parkwill connect the underground rainwater pipeline in North Jingzhou withTaihugang, mitigating the drainage pressure in this area. In addition, morethan ten kinds of aquatic plants such as lotus and calamus planted on the revetmentsin the park will also purify the water body.
