The reporter learned from the Jingzhou Municipal Post Administrationthat this year has witnessed a tremendous increase in both parcel receipts and deliveriesin the shopping festival compared with last year. Despite the impact of thepandemic and bad weather, the Administration will spare no effort to ensure thedelivery service in Jingzhou.

According todata from the Administration, due to the impact of the pandemic and thepromotion of live broadcasts, online shopping showed a skyrocketing growthduring 618 this year, with a year-on-year growth of 60% and 45% in parcel receiptsand deliveries respectively.

In the sortingwarehouse of Shentong Express in Shabei New District, couriers were busy insorting parcels and putting them in the trunks. According to the manager of thewarehouse, this year’s 618 fell into the rainy season. Therefore, the companywas well prepared to ensure timely delivery.

As of now, normalexpress delivery service is assured in Jingzhou. But parcels to Beijing may bedelayed due to the pandemic.

Under the newnormal of the pandemic, the Administration also issued relevant plans to managethe express delivery industry to ensure its normal operation.
