Recently, thereporter learned from the Jingzhou Bureau of Economy and Information Technologythat according to the statistics of relevant departments, in May this year, themain industrial economic indicators of Jingzhou continues to improve, whichshows an accelerated recovery of Jingzhou’s industrial economy.

Increase trend inloans, electricity consumption, and taxrevenue

Data show thatas of the end of May, the industrial loan balance in Jingzhou reached 23.101billion yuan, an increase of 1.621 billion yuan over the beginning of the year,of which that of manufacturing industry increased by 1.747 billion yuan. InMay, industrial electricity consumption was 697 million kWh, an increase of4.2% year-on-year, of which that of the manufacturing industry increased by13.1% year-on-year. The industrial tax revenue was 582 million yuan, anincrease of 26.7% year-on-year, of which industrial value-added tax reached 239million yuan, an increase of 31.3% year-on-year.

Positive growth inexport and increased sales of industrial products

In May, the exportin Jingzhou totaled US$118 million, a year-on-year increase of 5.3%. FromJanuary to May, the industrial current period inventory reached 103.3%, anincrease of 6 percentage points year-on-year.

Increasedproduction in some major industries and enterprises

In May, therewere 15 industries and 591 enterprises in Jingzhou witnessing increasedproduction. Among them, production of paper industry increased by 17.9%; thatof special machinery manufacturing increased by 14.4%; that of householdappliances increased by 7.2%; that of electronic communication manufacturingincreased by 6.9% and that of auto parts increased by 5%.

It is understoodthat despite the good trend in industrial production recovery, there are stillmany difficulties and uncertainties. Most industries and major industries suchas food, textiles, and building materials are still experiencing productionreduction. Jingzhou will make further efforts to investigate the situation,develop favored policies and help them out of predicament. Dedicated measureswill be implemented to enable industrial enterprises to resume production andoperation. In this way, both industrial chain and supply chain will be smoothand assured and the recovery trend will be guaranteed.
