On the evening of August 7th, themed on promoting national fitness to build a well-off society in anall-round way, the launching ceremony of 2020 the 12th “Jingzhou National Fitness Day” Activity & Jingzhou Garden Expo Park Fun Run Activitywas held in Jingzhou Garden Expo Park. Sun Yuqiu, Vice Mayor of Jingzhou, announced the opening of the activity. Xi Aihua, the rowing champion of 2008 Beijing Olympic Games attended the activity and read out the National Fitness Initiative.

At the launching ceremony, a series of national fitness performance such as street dance，fitness qigong(Ba Duan Jin) and yoga were demonstrated by sports group such as Jingzhou Association of Public Square Dance, Jingzhou Shadow boxing Association, as well as Jingzhou Yoga Association and so on. After the ceremony, nearly 500 ruuners went running from the main pavilion of JingzhouExpo Garden Park. The mighty running team became a powerful boost to thenational fitness campaign.

It is learnt that Jingzhou has always attached importance to 3 major tasks of building famous city of sports events, prospering the mass sports, and optimizing the quality and efficiency of sports industry in recent years, so to advance the construction of leading sports city.Currently, it has achieved 100% coverage of public sports facility in urban community and rural aera. The city deeply implement Jingzhou national fitness plan (2016-2020), the number of people who often participated in physical exercise in the city accounts for more than 43% of the total population, and it owns more than 14,000 social sports instructors that above the third level,accounting for 2.1thousandth of the total population, which takes a leading position in Hubei.
