On the afternoon of August 20,the Hainan-Hubei Jingzhou Work Exchange Conference took place in Haikou. Entrusted by Liu Cigui, Secretary of the CPC Hainan Provincial Committee, Xiao Yingzi, Member of the Standing Committee and Director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Hainan Provincial Committee, attended the conference. She underlined efforts to deepen the cooperation and exchanges between Hainan and Jingzhou, Hubei and promote win-win cooperation in fields such as medicare and health, healthcare, south breeding base and civilaviation.
Xiao welcomed the Party and government delegation of Jingzhou, extending congratulations on Jingzhou's staged results in epidemic prevention and control and post-epidemic recovery. She noted that Hainan's counterpart support to Jingzhou in epidemic prevention and control is amove of Hainan to implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instruction, as well as an obligatory duty of Hainan. The two sides forged deep friendship during fighting the epidemic together, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation.
The two sides are implementing the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches,and advancing normalized epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development in a coordinated manner, said Xiao, noting there is huge potential for deepening cooperation. She hoped the two sides would continue towork together, explore multi-level and multi-field cooperation, establish anormalized cooperation mechanism, strengthen connection and meet each other'sneeds, consolidate and promote the deep friendship forged in epidemic fighting,thus achieving greater success in cooperation.
Though far apart, the twosides are geographically connected and have forged a bond of affinity, said He.Jingzhou people will always bear in mind Hainan's strong support to Jingzhou'santi-epidemic efforts. As an important window via which China opens to the outside world, Hainan has created the spirit of special zone, the spirit of Qiongya and the spirit of coconut tree well known throughout the country in such fields as free trade port construction, opening to the outside world,culture & tourism and high-efficiency culture. He hoped the CPC Hainan Provincial Committee, the People's Government of Hainan Province and sistercities in Hainan would share valuable experience and offer support and guidance to promote cooperation and exchanges between the two sides.
He presented a tripod signifying"strong support" to Hainan on behalf of Jingzhou.
Present were Lu Zhiyuan, ViceChairman of the Standing Committee of the Hainan Provincial People's Congress;Wang Lu, Vice Governor of the People's Government of Hainan Province; and ChenMalin, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC Hainan Provincial Committee.
The Hainan Provincial Development and Reform Commission, the Health Commission of Hainan Province, the Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television and Sports of Hainan Province and other departments delivered speeches on promoting Hainan-Jingzhou cooperation.Duan Changlin, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Jingzhou Municipal People's Congress; Wang Shouwei, Chairman of the CPPCC Jingzhou Municipal Committee;Xiang Bin, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committeeand Executive Vice Mayor of the Jingzhou Municipal People's Government; ZhangYuanmei, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee,Member of the Party Leadership Group of the Jingzhou Municipal People'sGovernment and First Secretary of the Party Work Committee of Jingzhou Economic & Technological Development Zone attended the conference.
A TV documentary on Hainan's support to Jingzhou's anti-epidemic efforts was broadcast at the conference.
