The construction of 5G base stations in Jingzhou is currently in full swing. TheChina Telecom Jingzhou branch has built more than 500 base stations in theurban area, and they are expected to be put into commercial use on October 1st this year.

On the morning of August 29th, at the intersection of Baiyun Road and Beijing Road, 5G construction workers are debugging the equipment. The three 5G transmission devices are going to be sent up to a 35-meter pole tower for installation.

Atotal of five levels of equipment can be installed on the pole tower, and ChinaTelecom's 5G base station is placed on the second level. Three specialized devices can achieve a 360-degree full coverage from three angles.

Accordingto Fang Guohua, the manager of the 5G construction project of the Jingzhou branch of China Telecom, pole towers are going to be set up every 500 m on average to achieve the total coverage of the 5G signal. Similar 5G base stations will also be set up on top of some high-rise buildings, and the number of base states will be mainly determined by the number of nearby residents and businesses to achieve full coverage of the 5G signal.

ChinaTelecom's 5G network adopts the independent network mode, which can achieve complex calculations and processing, such as network slicing and mobile edge computing, and the transmission speed can reach 1.2GB per second.
