On the afternoon of September 17, the Cessna C560, an aircraft for flight inspectiontaking off from Beijing, landed at the Jingzhou Shashi Airport along the planned route. This is the first plane to land at the airport, and it will begin its flight inspection starting today, meaning that the Jingzhou Shashi Airport has officially entered the countdown to the opening.
Reporters onthe spot saw that at 16:38, a plane roared over the Jingzhou Shashi Airport as a small white dot became clear in sight. With its silver-white streamlined shapelike the profile of a small dolphin, the Cessna C560 was an aircraft for flight inspection taking off from Beijing. A few minutes later, the aircraft approached the runway, did the flyby, glided along the planned route, and arrived at the heliport as required. On the runway was the footprint of the first plane.
The crowd present cheered as the six crew members descended the gangway.
As is introduced, the Cessna C560 is equipped with sophisticated equipment for flight inspection, which can fully verify the airport navigation facilities,navigational aids, flight procedures and pavement performance. The flight inspection team from Flight Inspection Center of CAAC will complete the inspection of the instrument landing system and others through the Cessna C560in the upcoming days.
It is reported that "flight inspection" is an important condition and the first link concerning the operation of a new airport, and it will last a week. Flight Inspection Center of CAAC will conduct comprehensive tests on the traditional flight procedures, arrival and departure routes, communication, navigation and monitoring equipment, visual and navigational aids, and road signs of theJingzhou Shashi Airport, to prepare for the flight tests and navigation.
In order to ensure the smooth flight inspection of the Jingzhou Shashi Airport, a leading group supporting flight inspection was setup by the Command of Jingzhou Shashi Airport Engineering and Construction, thus devising a scientific and detailed plan. The responsibilities of each link ofthe inspection work have been detailed, with the division of labor clearly defined, while three drills have been conducted. During the flight inspection,the public security, armed police, fire control, medical rescue and other departments work together, giving warnings at the isolation zone, carrying out security and emergency relief work, ensuring the safety of aircraft during the flight inspection, and guaranteeing a complete success of the flight inspection.
