The evaluation of 2020 National Natural Science Foundation Project has been announced recently that a total of 18 projects of EnergyInstitute in Yangtze University been approved.

It is understood that among the 18 approved projects, the key project "Research and Comprehensive Applicationof Electromagnetic Monitoring Method in Time Domain of HydraulicFracturing" declared by Professor Yan Liangjun of Geophysical Institute received2.98 million yuan funding, which is the first key National Natural ScienceFoundation Project that Yangtze University approved, and the approved projects of the Academy of Sciences in Yangtze University has increased to 10,becoming the first college that enter double digits of approved projects.

Since Yangtze University launched the project of building “Double-First Class” University ,it has adjusted the discipline layout, set up the Institute of Energy, carried out the two-level management of the university and college, so to give full play the internal kinetic energy of each department. Supported by various functional departments,the Institute of Energy vigorously promoted reform, clarified the responsibilities, and put forward the development concept of "strong, newand special ", which laid the foundation for improving the quality and quantity of the apporved fund projects.
