At 9:00 a.m.,Tang Xu, a census enumerator in Xingsheng Street Community, Jiefang Avenue,Shashi District, was collecting personal information of residents from door todoor. With more than 80 households in the 23rd census community which he is responsible for, Tang had to go door to door to carry out household registration.

There are more than 4,000 residents in Xingsheng Street Community. As it is an old community with a large floating population, Tang is sometimes faced with the situation that residents are not at home. In this circumstance, he has to make an appointment with the residents and come again at a suitable time. If they really can't come back home, Tang still needs to register their information by telephone and report it in time.

Census enumerators need to compare the community residents' information sheets, make careful inquiries and report them accurately. The census is currently in its first stage - filling in the short form. The first round of information collection will be completed on November 10, followed by filling in the longform and information review. During the whole census process, the personal information of residents will be kept strictly confidential.
