In order to further improve the quality of national fitness sporting events in Jingzhou and guide the masses to participate in national fitness sports, the 2020 Jingzhou Ball Championship kicked off on November 2. During the sports event, athletes from various industries, counties and districts will participate in the competition of four major events.

Sponsored by Jingzhou Municipal Sports Bureau, the Working Committee of the Organs directly under Jingzhou Municipal Party Committee and Jingzhou Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, and organized by Jingzhou Cultural and Sports Center and ballsports associations, the event is divided into four major sports: football,basketball, badminton and table tennis, in two groups: the county-city-district group and the industry system group. The former consists of athletes from eightcounties, cities and districts and functional areas, and the industry system group consists of athletes from organs directly under Jingzhou Municipal Party Committee, enterprises and institutions. Apart from the first, second and third prizes, the event will also set up the "Excellent Organization Award", "Sportsmanship Award", "Best Athlete Award","Best Coach Award" and "Best Referee Award".

In order to do a good job in the normal epidemic prevention and control, the sponsors conducted nucleic acid tests on all the organizers and participants involved before the event and summarized the results of body temperature tests and health status daily so as to make things preventable, controllable and traceable. All personnel should have their body temperature measured and show their verified health codes before entering the venue. Those with body temperature higher than37.3℃ are not allowed to enter. At the same time, preventive disinfection and regular cleaning will be conducted in the venue. With no seats set up for the audience, citizens can watch the finals of the sports event through live broadcast.
