At 01:00 am on November 18, Jingzhou National Wholesale Market for Freshwater Products offically put into operation.Covering an area of 257 mu and investment of 670 million yuan, the project is one of the 15 wholesale markets of agricultural products designated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs in China.

Meanwhile, Jingzhou National Wholesale Market for Freshwater Products will invest more than RMB 30 million yuan vigorously developing online electronic trading and forward order trading and realizing the operation mode of centralized settlement. Divided into 10 functional areas including four major domestic fishes, special breeding, seafood, fishing accessories, sorting, cold chain, warehousing ,logistics, convention&exhibition, comprehensive service, the project will realize an annual trading capacity of freshwater products exceeding 2 million tons and provide up 20,000 jobs after its operation.
