The New Year's Day this year is the first minor holiday after "Free Tours in Hubei with Love and Joy ". Though holiday events were canceled due to the Covid-19 outbreak and all the tourism areas in Jingzhou restored their ticket prices, the travel fever did not subside. According to statistics released by the Jingzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, Jingzhou received 247,300 tourists and achieved revenues of 16.8454 million yuan in the three-day New Year's Day holiday.

During the minor holiday, to create a festive atmosphere, Jingzhou Fantawild Oriental Heritage staged firework shows and New Year concerts for three days in a row. Integrating elements such as "Guochao", hip-hop, rap, magic and Han clothing show, it presented a new audio-visual feast to citizens and tourists. During the holiday, it received 30,016 tourists and achieved revenues of 4.90452 million yuan.

Treasure Hall of Jingzhou Museum reopened during the holiday after more than a year of renovation, and attracted flocks of tourists. Jingzhou Tonglinggang Vegetable Theme Park presented events such as family tour, rural food tasting, mountain go-kart and CS. Jinjiajiao Resort presented events such as Chu food tasting, clay pottery making and forest cabin. Jingzhou's country tour attracted 89,000 tourists. The Bamachuan country tour circle of Jingzhou District received 10,130 tourists, including 6,218 tourists to Jingzhou Tonglinggang Vegetable Theme Park.

Jingzhou's traditional attractions remained popular. Jingzhou Ancient City Historical and Cultural Tourism Area received 17,716 tourists and achieved revenues of 575,640 yuan. Songzi Weishui Tourist Resort received 6,700 tourists and achieved revenues of about 680,000 yuan. Honghu Yuexi Peninsula Tourism Area and Songzi Quchi River Hot Spring Resort received 13,200 tourists.

To keep the epidemic under control, the municipal cultural market law enforcement detachment inspected tourism areas, net cafes and entertainment occupancies. Jingzhou's tourism areas strictly implemented the requirements of normalized epidemic prevention and control--keeping the visitor flow rate under 75%, trained staff in epidemic prevention and control, worked out strict work rules, and attached great importance to the health monitoring and management of staff.

During the holiday, the municipal cultural market law enforcement detachment sent 180 law enforcement officers to inspect 122 cultural and tourism operators, and urged the correction of potential safety hazards and other problems found in the inspection. The 12318 and 12301 hotlines received no complaints, showing the culture and tourism market was in good order.
