The Summary Conference on Industrial Acceptance of Civil Aviation Works of Jingzhou Shashi Airport & Pre-licensing Inspection of Jingzhou Shashi Airport took place on the morning of January 19.

Present were Fan Yongping, Deputy Director of the CAAC Central and Southern Regional Administration; Zhou Zhihong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee and Mayor of the Jingzhou Municipal People's Government; Chen Hui, Party Secretary and Chairman of Hubei Airports Group Co., Ltd.; Jiang Shun, Second Class Counsel of the CAAC Hubei Administration; Xiang Bin, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee and Executive Vice Mayor of the Jingzhou Municipal People's Government.

Thinking that the Jingzhou Shashi Airport has been completed according to the approved preliminary design, basically conforms to civil aviation regulations and standards, and meets use requirements; the total investment of the project is expected to be kept within the approved estimated overall budget; and archives organization basically meets the civil aviation standards, the experts present approved project acceptance in principle.

At the conference, Fan congratulated the airport on passing the industrial acceptance and pre-licensing inspection of the civil aviation works. The CAAC Central and Southern Regional Administration attaches great importance to the construction of the airport, he said, hoping that the airport would complete rectification and obtain the license as soon as possible. He required that the airport should be well prepared for operation amid normalized epidemic prevention and control; relevant entities should hold fast to the safety bottom line, strengthen guidance, and provide initiative services to ensure the safe operation and high-quality development of the airport.Zhou expressed thanks to relevant entities including CAAC Central and Southern Regional Administration, CAAC Hubei Administration, Central and Southern Branch of General Station of Civil Aviation Engineering Quality Supervision and Hubei Airports Group. Passing the industrial acceptance and pre-licensing inspection of the civil aviation works is the result of working against the clock. After going into operation, the airport will boost Jingzhou's economy. Jingzhou will comprehensively and precisely absorb experts' opinions, promptly establish a work leading group under the principle of deploying equipment and facilities, placing personnel in key positions and conducting test results, and make practical correction, to ensure that the airport launches its maiden flight as scheduled. She welcomed leaders and experts to Jingzhou to taste Jingzhou's delicacies, and experience Jingzhou's culture and scenery after the airport goes into operation.

The Jingzhou Shashi Airport is Hubei's only new feeder airport constructed during the "thirteenth five-year" period, said Chen, hoping that relevant entities would continue to pay attention to and support the airport. Hubei Airports Group Co., Ltd. will accept all corrective opinions from the experts and make immediate correction to ensure that the airport goes into operation as scheduled.
