“Jingzhou elements” dazzling in Work Report of Hubei Provincial People’s Government

On the morning of January 24, the fifth session of 13th Hubei Provincial People's Congress opened in Wuhan. Wang Xiaodong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Governor of the Provincial People’s Government, reported to the conference on behalf of the Hubei Provincial People's Government. When the provincial " Work Report" mentioned the key tasks in 2021, there were a lot of "Jingzhou elements", which provided important policy opportunities for the economic and social development of Jingzhou in the next stage.

The provincial "Government Work Report" puts forward: Accurately expand effective investment and promote the construction of a number of major infrastructure projects in transportation, water conservancy, and energy. Regarding railways, speed up the construction of the Jingmen-Jingzhou railway.

The provincial "Government Work Report" proposes: Accelerate the development of urban agglomerations in the metropolitan area. Introduce overall opinions and supporting policies for regional development layout. Promote the "Yichang-Jingzhou-Jingmen-Enshi" city cluster to create a high-quality development economic belt featuring green economy and strategic emerging industries, and support Jingzhou to build a national industrial transfer demonstration zone.

The Provincial "Government Work Report" proposes:Deepen regional strategic cooperation. Strengthen the strategic linkage with neighboring provinces to promote the coordinated development of the Han River Ecological Economic Zone, the Three Gorges Ecological Economic Cooperation Zone, the Dongting Lake Ecological Economic Zone, and the Huai River Ecological Economic Zone.

The Provincial "Government Work Report" proposes: Promote high-level opening up. Deepen the reform and innovation of Hubei Free Trade Zone and support the building of comprehensive bonded zones in Xiangyang, Huangshi, Jingzhou and E’zhou.

The Provincial "Government Work Report" proposes: Optimize public cultural services. Cultivate and practice the core values of socialism, deepen the building of civilization, and strengthen archaeological work and the protection and utilization of cultural relics. Protect and carry forward the Yangtze River culture. Promote the Tea Road of Ten Thousand Miles to apply the list of cultural heritage, the Long March National Cultural Park (Hubei Section), the Jingchu Great Relic Heritage Development Project, and the construction of a demonstration zone for the protection and utilization of revolutionary cultural relics, and support the protection of the ancient city of Jingzhou and the evacuation of functional areas.
