On May 10, Zhou Zhihong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee and Mayor of the Jingzhou Municipal People's Government, heard a report on Jingzhou's agricultural industrialization, and made arrangements for helping leading enterprises out and developing the agricultural product processing industry.

Zhou noted that agricultural industrialization concerns national food security, the implementation of the rural rejuvenation strategy and the creation of a "dual circulation" development pattern with domestic circulation as the mainstay and domestic and international circulations reinforcing each other. We should seize the policy opportunities from the No. 1 documents of the CPC Central Committee and the CPC Hubei Provincial Committee, change our ideas, take differential measures to help leading agricultural industrialization enterprises out, and build influential and competitive agricultural product brands, so as to accelerate the agricultural and rural modernization of Jingzhou.

Zhou stressed that we should find the right development orientation of Jingzhou, focus on industry and culture & tourism services, accelerate agricultural modernization, promote the coordinated development of Jingzhou's primary, secondary and tertiary industries, and demonstrate Jingzhou's role in Hubei and China by its new pattern of high-quality development. We should vigorously develop the deep processing of agricultural products, help farmers increase their income, improve the quality of agricultural development and promote the all-round improvement of rural areas through agricultural industrialization. We should spur agricultural development by building strong brands, cultivate agricultural brands, and build leading, regional and strategic agricultural product brands. We should strengthen the development of the agricultural product circulation system and smooth circulation channels, to create a city-county-township-village integrated circulation system. We should fully leverage the roles of governments at all levels and financial institutions, work out feasible plans by class and level, pool efforts to help leading agricultural industrialization enterprises out, address relevant problems in accordance with laws and regulations, and promote the healthy and steadily development of more agricultural enterprises.
