The Municipal Celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the CPC & Conference of the Municipal Leading Group on Party History and Education took place on the morning of May 14. He Guangzhong, Secretary of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee and Head of the Jingzhou Municipal Leading Group on Party History and Education, chaired the conference, requiring that we should earnestly study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech on Party history study and education, elaborately organize Jingzhou's activities celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC in strict accordance with the unified arrangements of the CPC Central Committee and the work requirements of the CPC Hubei Provincial Committee, and keep pushing forward Party history study and education.

He noted that since the beginning of Party history study and education in Jingzhou, Jingzhou's Party organizations at all levels have, in light of actualities, kept to the right path, made innovations, and pressed ahead with work, including mobilization, theoretical study, discussion & exchange, centralized presentation and public opinion guidance, in a coordinated manner. Jingzhou started Party history study and education early, took concrete measures, created a strong atmosphere and achieved good results.

He stressed we should understand the great power of thinking and enhance political consciousness. By studying the Party's history, we should enhance the consciousness of the need to maintain political integrity, think in big-picture terms, follow the leadership core and keep in alignment with the central Party leadership, stay confident in the path, theory, system and culture of socialism with Chinese characteristics, uphold General Secretary Xi Jinping's core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole, understand why the CPC is capable, why Marxism is workable and why socialism with Chinese characteristics is good, and keep enhancing our political judgment, political comprehension and political execution.

He stressed we should make good use of red resources and vividly tell stories of Jingzhou, tap Jingzhou's red historical resources, create some literary and artistic works on the Party's history, educate and guide Party members and officials in carrying forward revolutionary traditions and overcoming all hardships. We should link theories with practices, integrate Party history study and education with earnestly studying and implementing the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech during visiting Hubei and Jingzhou and participating in the panel discussion of the Hubei delegation, and with accelerating the high-quality development of Jingzhou, and advance the implementation of the decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee and the work requirements of the CPC Hubei Provincial Committee. We should focus on key tasks, do practical things for the people in a targeted and precise manner to benefit them directly and universally, and address the concerns and anxieties of the people and enterprises in production, life and corporate development with fine conduct.

He stressed we should strengthen organizational leadership and seek practical results. The Municipal Leading Group on Party History and Education should conduct overall planning, coordinate work, combine required work and optional work, and carry out distinctive and content-rich study and education activities. Party organizations at all levels should lead by example, perform their primary responsibility, highlight ideological guidance, elaborately prepare and organize diverse celebrations marking the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC at the grass-roots level.

Present at the conference were Wu Chaoan, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee; Jiang Hong, Member of the Standing Committee and Secretary General of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee; and Tang Tongxin, Member of the Standing Committee and Director of the Organization Department of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee. 

The conference conveyed and studied the spirit of the Provincial Celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the CPC & Conference of the Provincial Leading Group on Party History and Education, and heard the work report on Jingzhou's Party history study and education, the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC and the practice of "doing practical things for the people".
