May 16 marks the 31th National Disabled Day, which themed on “Consolidate the Achievements of the Disabled in Poverty Alleviation, Improve the Quality of Life of the Disabled”. In the evening of May 16, Jingzhou city hold publicity performance on National Disabled Day, to demonstrate the mentality of the disabled group to follow the party whole-heartedly, advocate the society to understand, respect and care more for the disabled person, and help them to enjoy a happy life together.

Present were: Chen Aiping, Vice Director of Standing Committee of Jingzhou Municipal People’s Congress, Deng Yingjun, Deputy Mayor of Jingzhou Municipal People’s Government and Chairman of the 4th Presidium of Jingzhou Municipal Disabled Persons' Federation, Lin Hong, Vice Chairman of Jingzhou Municipal Committee of CPPCC。

During the event, 6 model disabled representatives self-improvement who grown up in adversity, including Jiang Fuying, Zhong Mingyong, Lan Xiuhong, He Hongyan, Xu Jing, and Cui Hong, described their struggling journey of self-esteem, self-confidence, self-reliance and their entrepreneurial stories. The disabled group presented a wonderful theatrical performance with 8 splendid programs including dance " The Thousand-hand Bodhisattva", song "Azalea", erhu solo "War Horse Galloping", and song "Sing a Folk Song for the Party" to show that the disabled group is committed to the party and has a spirit of continuous self-improvement.
