On May 20, Director of China Meteorological Administration (CMA) visited Jingzhou to investigate meteorology work for agriculture. Song Shanyun, Office Chief of China Meteorological Administration, Wang Zhihua, Director of the Department of Emergency Mitigation and Public Service of China Meteorological Administration, Bi Baogui, Director of Forecast and Network Department of China Meteorological Administration, Ke Yiming, Director of Hubei Provincial Meteorological Administration, He Guangzhong, Secretary of CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee attended the investigation.

Accompanied by He Guangzhong, Secretary of CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee, Zhuang came to the Jingzhou Agricultural Meteorological Experiment Station of China Meteorological Administration to check the freshwater products and crops in the meteorological experiment area, and learn more details about the city’s climate environment and agricultural production. He emphasized: the agricultural products are greatly affected by meteorological disasters, Jingzhou is a large agricultural product market, and the demands of farmers and agricultural enterprises for meteorological information are becoming more and more diversified and professional. Jingzhou must thoroughly implement the spirit of the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on meteorological work, earnestly implement the decisions and deployments of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, focus on building a modern meteorological service system for agriculture, meet the basic requirements of meteorological service for agriculture, and strive to achieve the target of precise monitoring, precise forecast and fine service; Jingzhou must identify right direction for work, change meteorological disaster prevention from passive emergency to active response by thoroughly innovative weather service product supply, expansion of meteorological information release channels, and development of special services for facility agriculture, innovate working methods and methods of meteorological service for agriculture, and make weather service products meeting the production needs of farmers, provides strong weather protection for agricultural production and farmers' income, and boosts rural revitalization.
