Jingzhou releases Statistical Bulletin on National Economic and Social Development in 2020

Jingzhou has recently released the statistical bulletin on national economic and social development in 2020.

According to a preliminary estimate, Jingzhou registered GDP of 236.904 billion yuan in 2020, down 5.9 percent from 2019 at a comparable price. In terms of industry, the primary industry contributed an added value of 45.302 billion yuan, the secondary industry 80.624 billion yuan and the tertiary industry 110.978 billion yuan, up 0.2 percent, down 10.0 percent and down 4.6 percent from 2019 respectively.

Market entities kept developing. As of late December, there were a total of 400,500 market entities in Jingzhou, up 5.4 percent year on year, including 72,100 enterprises, up 6.3 percent year on year; 48,800 new market entities were registered in Jingzhou, including 12,200 enterprises, 35,700 self-employed individuals and 862 farmers' cooperatives.

Jingzhou's investment in fixed assets (excluding rural households) in 2020 was down 22.4 percent from 2019.。

Jingzhou's fiscal revenues totaled 17.292 billion yuan in 2020, down 21.3 percent from 2019, including general public budgetary revenue and expenditure of 10.541 billion yuan, down 24.4 percent from 2019.

The per capita disposal income of permanent urban residents in Jingzhou in 2020 was 34,474 yuan, down 4.0 percent year on year; the per capita disposal income of permanent rural residents was 18,817 yuan, down 0.4 percent year on year; the per capita consumption expenditure was 22,277 yuan, down 2.5 percent year on year.

In 2020, Jingzhou continued to advance energy conservation and consumption reduction, and achieved the goal of reducing energy consumption per 10,000 yuan of GDP by 15.5 percent set in the "Thirteenth Five-Year" Plan.
