The two sides exchanged views on the construction of Jingzhou Public Health Center & Disease Prevention, Control and Test Center funded by NDB, and the further expansion of Jingzhou-NDB cooperation.
On behalf of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee and the Jingzhou Municipal People's Government, He extended warm welcome to the delegation, expressing heartfelt thanks to NDB for its strong support to Jingzhou's epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development. At the most tense and difficult moment of epidemic prevention and control in early 2020, NDB provided 1.4 billion yuan in emergency assistance loan to Jingzhou in support of public health system building and the fight against Covid-19, he said. Jingzhou spent 73 days finishing loan application and early preparations and only more than seven months completing a project that previously took more than three years, showing its tremendous speed, working a miracle and creating a unique model. With the completion of the main works of the Jingzhou Public Health Center & Disease Prevention, Control and Test Center, the project has entered the stage of interior decoration and equipment installation and commissioning. Based on the delegation's opinions, aiming at the existing problems, we will further make clear targets, tasks and time nodes, see to it that all work responsibilities are performed, work out a schedule in reverse order, conduct scientific organization, and lose no time on follow-up work, to ensure that the project is completed as scheduled and go into operation as early as possible.
Now Jingzhou is experiencing fast, full and restorative economic and social development. Jingzhou enjoys superior location, favorable policies and opportunities, an integrated traffic pattern, concentrative resources and a broad prospect. He hoped that NDB would leverage its strengths in capital, technology and management, take Jingzhou as a preferred place for support and an agglomeration area of projects, and offer support in infrastructural construction, clean energy development, new urbanization, cultural inheritance, environmental protection and public health system upgrading. The CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee and the Jingzhou Municipal People's Government will elaborately organize and vigorously advance the project, and serve project construction wholeheartedly, thus delivering a model project funded by NDB.
Zhu expressed his high respect for Jingzhou's achievements in epidemic prevention and control and post-epidemic rejuvenation, thanking the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee and the Jingzhou Municipal People's Government for their great attention and strong support to the project. With a long history, profound heritage and convenient transportation, revived Jingzhou is releasing its strong vitality, he said, adding that NDB would leverage its strengths, and deepen cooperation with Jingzhou in new infrastructure, environmental protection, cultural inheritance and public health, to promote the sustainable development of Jingzhou.
