Update information on COVID-19 cases in Hubei on May 28, 2021

No new case of COVID-19 was found in Hubei on May 28. Yesterday saw no new suspected case, discharged case or death.

No asymptomatic case was found in Hubei on May 28. No asymptomatic case developed to the confirmed one. No patient had been discharged from quarantine. Four asymptomatic patients were under medical quarantine (three were inbound passengers on Flight CZ8140 from Islamabad, Pakistan to Wuhan on April 26, May 11 and 25; one was an inbound passenger on Flight CZ8182 from Nairobi, Kenya to Shenzhen on April 17). 386 close contacts were under medical quarantine (three were close contacts of the asymptomatic patient on the Flight CZ8140 on May 11; 149 were close contacts of the confirmed patient on Flight CZ350 from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Guangzhou on April 30; 38 were close contacts of the asymptomatic patient on the Flight CZ8182 from Nairobi, Kenya to Shenzhen on April 17; 191 were close contacts of the asymptomatic patient on the Flight CZ8140 on May 25; five were close contacts of the confirmed and asymptomatic patients outside of Hubei province in the country).

There are two confirmed cases (both were inbound passengers: one on Flight CZ8140 from Islamabad, Pakistan to Wuhan on April 26, the other on Flight CZ350 from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Guangzhou on April 30) and no suspected case. As of 24:00, May 28, a total of 63,645 patients were cured and discharged from the hospital. 4,512 people died of the disease. A total of 68,159 cumulative confirmed cases of COVID-19 had been reported in Hubei province.
