Jingzhou will give prominence to the driving role of leading enterprises, promote the standardized, massive, green, digital and integrated development of the primary, secondary and tertiary industries, and remove the bottlenecks of agricultural product processing, according to a source of the Jingzhou Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs on June 9.

Jingzhou has taken developing, bringing in and strengthening leading enterprises as an important link of the whole industry chain, supported enterprises in technology renovation, revitalized enterprises in trouble, encouraged advantageous enterprises to forge strong partnerships, promoted the agglomerative development of leading enterprises, and made leading enterprise grow big and strong. Based on its superior resources, Jingzhou has conducted targeted investment promotion to attract the top 500 agricultural industrialization enterprises and the top 100 food enterprises, and brought in a host of leading agricultural industrialization enterprises and matching enterprises to lead the high-quality development of Jingzhou's agriculture. Each county (city, district) in Jingzhou has focused on developing an agricultural product processing industry park, conducted high-quality planning and built a high-standard park, so as to realize the agglomerative development of agricultural products.
To give play to the driving role of leading enterprises, all areas in Jingzhou will focus on ten agricultural industry chains, give prominence to the industry chains of freshwater products, quality rice, canola oil and live pigs, target key leading enterprises, work out feasible implementation plans specific to industry chains, and press ahead with the development of the industry chains in a vigorous, orderly and effective manner. Driven by leading enterprises, Jingzhou will make great efforts to strengthen industry chains, keep developing extended industries, lengthen industry chains and enhance the value chain. With focus on advantageous planting and breeding areas, key enterprises and featured brands, Jingzhou will pool the efforts of cities and counties to preferentially develop and strengthen the industry chains with the most distinctive local features.
