Jingzhou received 1.4012 million tourists during the Dragon Boat Festival Holidays

It was sunny in Jingzhou during the Dragon Boat Festival. According to the Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, Jingzhou received 1.4012 million tourists and achieved tourism revenue of RMB 833 million, an increase of 34.6% and 29.8% respectively over the same period in 2019.

During the festival, experience activities were carried out in Jingzhou’s scenic spots: Binyang Tower launched the ancient city night tour project; Jingzhou Fantawild Oriental launched the Zongzi Fun Market, the costumes cruise and other experience activities, and held the super long firework celebration; the Garden Expo Park launched the projects with characteristics of the Dragon Boat Festival such as hanging wormwood , and wearing sachets and also arranged meaningful links such as giving visitors a book of "The Songs of the Chu", and presenting wormwood sachets by taking photos. As the temperature rises, aquatic sports have become popular. Jingzhou Ocean World took ocean and Caribbean elements as the theme, bringing visitors a thrilling and exciting new experience; Honghu Yuexi Peninsula launched the Dragon Boat Festival activity themed "Happy Aquatic Sport and Cool Summer". More than hundreds of aquatic sports enlivened the atmosphere.

“Cultural and Natural Heritage Day” happened to fall on the Dragon Boat Festival holidays. Folklore activities were splendid: The dance "Flying Ruyi", Mashan folk song "Trumpet Tune", "Looking at Each Other" and other programs of Jingzhou style performed on the Binyang Tower in the Ancient City of Jingzhou attracted visitors; Jingzhou Museum launched the program "Rejuvenating Cultural Relics to Empower Colorful Life" to explore the Kaiyuan Temple, which was made online and offline to allow the public, cultural relics workers, and heritage conservation volunteers to experience the beauty of cultural and natural heritage; the scenic spot Chu King’s Carriage and Horse Array invited primary school students to participate in archaeological experience, deeply study and experience the development and protection of cultural heritage; "Red Flag Floating in Hubei - Hubei Itinerant Exhibition for Photos of Revolutionary Cultural Relics" held in Qujiawan, Honghu City attracted nearly 30,000 tourists. The Municipal Mass Art Museum conducted intangible cultural heritage exhibition activities in the mainstream business districts of Jingzhou to display the outstanding traditional performing arts and traditional craft skills of intangible cultural heritage to the public and tourists and attract everyone to experience traditional skills and taste Jingzhou food of intangible cultural heritage.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC. The red theme tour is very popular. The 15 red tourist routes launched by the Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism were very popular among short-distance self-driving tourists who visited the old red site, listened to explanations, watched live performances, and experienced special routes to promote the development of red tourism in Jingzhou. According to statistics, more than 200,000 tourists visited the sacred place for the revolution such as Qujiawan in Honghu, Zhoulaozui in Jianli, and Red Army Tree in Shishou during the Dragon Boat Festival holidays.

During the holidays, the comprehensive law enforcement teams for cultural markets at the city and county levels dispatched a total of 865 law enforcement personnel to inspect 412 cultural tourism business entities. Jingzhou's cultural tourism market was basically stable and had neither work safety accidents nor abnormalities in epidemic prevention and control.
