224 Chinese and Japanese Teenagers' Calligraphy & Painting Works Exhibited to Celebrate 30th Anniversary of Establishment of Jingzhou-Aizuwakamatsu Sister City Relationship

On the morning of June 20, the 18th Jingzhou-Aizuwakamatsu Teenagers' Calligraphy & Painting Works Exchange Exhibition, hosted by the Foreign Affairs Office of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee and the Jingzhou Municipal Committee of the Chinese Youth League, took place at Jingzhou Children's Palace.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of sister city relationship between Jingzhou and Aizuwakamatsu. With the anniversary as an opportunity, this event aims to advance cultural exchanges and fusion between the two cities and promote the high-quality development of Jingzhou through high-level opening-up.

The event, scheduled to run from June 20 to 27, will exhibit a total of 224 calligraphy & painting works, including 47 calligraphy works and 43 painting works by Aizuwakamatsu's teenagers, as well as 67 calligraphy works and 67 painting works by Jingzhou's teenagers. These entries not only reflect different cultural customs and lifestyles of China and Japan, but also demonstrate the sincere feelings and colorful dreams shared by teenagers from both cities, and display the charm of cultural harmony.

Following the exhibition, Jingzhou will organize professional judges to select 10 excellent calligraphy & painting works by Aizuwakamatsu's teenagers, and present the "Jingzhou Mayor Award" to the winners. Afterwards all the winning entries will be delivered to Aizuwakamatsu for a Sino-Japanese teenagers' calligraphy & exhibition exchange exhibition. And Aizuwakamatsu will select 10 excellent works from Jingzhou's entries and present the "Aizuwakamatsu Mayor Award" to the winners.
