The constrution and development of Jingzhou Jiangling Green Energy Chemical Industry Park serve as strategic deployment in Jingzhou’s vision of advancing modern coal chemical industry. In 2021, Jingzhou appoints local government heads as chain chiefs in key industries, launches the project of supplementing, extending and strengthening chains, and strives to build the Jingzhou Jiangling Green Energy Chemical Industry Park into National Demonstration Zone for Clean and Efficient Utilization of Coal Transportation from North to South, as well as National Modern Coal Chemical Industry Base.

In coal reserve base of Hubei Jingzhou Coal Port Co.,ltd, located at Majiazhai Town, Jiangling County, coal arrived by Haolebaoji-Ji’an Railway is being transferred to the designated location through the conveyor belt, and then transport to other cities in Hubei , Hunan, Jiangxi, Chongqing and other places by water transport.

On September 28, 2019, as the national corridor of coal transportation from North to South, Haolebaoji-Ji’an Railway was offically launched, Jingzhou thus became the key water-railway combined transport hub relying on Haolebaoji-Ji’an Railway and golden waterway of Yangtze River, so has the Jingzhou Coal Reserve Base been established. Jingzhou Coal Reserve Base gathers high-quality upstream resources and serves downstream end users. Featured by four functions of logistics distribution, emergency storage, coal blending processing, and coal trading, it is the largest coal trading center and storage center in Central China, with the annual coal throughput of phase I reached 21million tons.

Jingzhou Jiangling Green Energy Chemical Industry Park covers an area of 50 square kilometers, focus on the coal deep processing industry, aims to build two clusters of energy chemical products and high-end chemical products. In the future, Jingzhou Jiangling Green Energy Chemical Industry Park will be built into first national-level regional coal distribution center in central China featuring emergency coal storage, distribution, and trading, the National Demonstration Zone for Clean and Efficient Utilization of Coal Transportation from North to South aimed on coal-power intergration Band coal powered fuel, and National Modern Coal Chemical Base with coal-to-methanol and olefins as the mainstay.
