On the afternoon of July 20, the Symposium of the Provincial Lecture Mission on Studying and Implementing the Spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's Important Speech at the "July 1" Celebration opened in Jingzhou. He Guangzhong, Secretary of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee, chaired the symposium. Xiao Weikang, Member of the Provincial Lecture Mission on Party History Study and Education, Head of the Seventh Provincial Steering Group and Vice President of the Party School of the CPC Hubei Provincial Committee, gave a lecture.

In the lecture, Xiao expounded on the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the "July 1" celebration from the perspectives of understanding the significance of the spirit, understanding the great achievement and historical significance of building a moderately prosperous society in all aspects, understanding the brilliant course and great achievements of the Party, understanding the profound connotation of the great founding spirit of the Party and its value in the era, understanding the fundamental requirements of "drawing lessons from history and creating a bright future" and understanding the great call of General Secretary Xi Jinping.

He stressed that Party committees (organizations) at all levels should take studying and implementing the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the "July 1" celebration as a major political task at present and for some time to come. Grass-roots Party organizations should successfully organize collective meetings on studying and implementing the spirit.

He stressed that we should make good use of the experience and practice of "delivering seven types of lectures to seven places", develop Party committee lecture missions, youth lecture missions and various lecture teams, organize public lectures, community lectures and other featured lectures, conduct overall planning, and organize and coordinate with media outlets at all levels in Jingzhou to advance the implementation of the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the "July 1" celebration. We should combine studying and implementing the spirit with promoting the high-quality development of Jingzhou in an all-round way. According to the requirements of the speech of Ying Yong, Secretary of the CPC Hubei Provincial Committee during his visit to Jingzhou and the work arrangement of the 13th Session of the 5th CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee, we should speed up the leap of Jingzhou from a large agricultural city to a large industrial city, from a populous city to an economically strong city and from traditional industries to high-tech industries with a broad horizon and an open mind.
