This year Jingzhou has started to practice a chief system for key industry chains, implemented the project of strengthening, extending and smoothing chains, included the green industry chain into the project, and propelled leading enterprises to integrate upstream and downstream resources of the green home industry, to drive the green transformation of the home industry.

In the workshop of Wanhua Board, stalks were made into composite stalk boards with a smell of wheat after over 10 procedures such as drying, crushing, glue mixing, thermal press and sanding. Such boards processed with adhesives after peeling strong libriform fiber from stalks are superior to wooden boards in strength and elasticity.

Composite stalk boards are of high ecological and economic benefits. An annual output of 300,000 cubic meters consumes 400,000 tons of crop stalks and three agricultural residues, and contributes an income of 160 million yuan to farmers if a ton is priced at 400 yuan. Guided by the philosophy of green first and intelligence navigation, Wanhua Board is riding on the momentum to become a supplier for more than 10 renowned home furnishing enterprises such as Suofeiya and Oppein.

The prosperity of the board industry has also attracted downstream home furnishing enterprises to move in. Fujian ESD Smart Home settled in Gong'an in October 2020, the No. 1 workshop of the company has been completed and is going into trial production, and the project is expected to produce 750,000 cubic meters of smart homes annually and generate an annual output value of 600 million yuan after its full completion in early 2022.

To further promote the high-quality development of Jingzhou's green home building materials industry, and build a green home building materials manufacturing base in Jianghan Plain, Jingzhou will target world advanced technologies, continue to make up deficiencies through industry chain investment promotion, attract the top 100 enterprises and listed companies in the green home building materials industry to move in, extend the industry chain, improve the industrial layout, release favorable policies to strengthen weaknesses, offer strong support for production, foster leading enterprises and leverage agglomeration effects, so as to promote the green and low-carbon development of Jingzhou's modern papermaking and home building materials industries. Jingzhou will strive to significantly increase the concentration of Jingzhou's green building materials industry by the end of the "fourteenth five-year" period, to further enhance its vitality and competitiveness.
