The Provincial Investment Promotion Work Conference took place in Jingzhou on July 28. Zhao Haishan, Vice Governor of the Hubei Provincial People's Government, stressed that we should earnestly implement the spirit of the 9th Plenary Session of the 11th CPC Hubei Provincial Committee, implement the arrangements and requirements of the CPC Hubei Provincial Committee and the Hubei Provincial People's Government for the investment promotion work, and make greater contributions to Hubei's efforts in "building a fulcrum, keeping ahead and writing a new chapter" with focus on industrial development, chain strengthening, technology innovation, export-oriented economy, platform-based new economy and green development.

In the first half of 2021, Hubei attached greater importance to investment promotion, acted more quickly, took more vigorous measures and achieved more significant results, which were reflected in the restoration of project signing, the rise in foreign investment use and the effective support of major projects. While recognizing these results, we should be soberly aware that the risk challenge of investment promotion facing Hubei remains severe. We should analyze the situation dialectically, continue to work hard, shore up confidence, and go all out to speed up investment promotion and improve efficiency according to the arrangements and requirements of the CPC Hubei Provincial Committee and the Hubei Provincial People's Government.

In the second half of 2021, we should conduct investment promotion with focus on industrial development, and draw a tactical map for investment promotion based on the industrial map; we should conduct investment promotion with focus on strengthening chains, and bolster the manufacturing industry chain and the rural and agricultural industry chain; we should conduct investment promotion with focus on technology innovation, attract and foster more innovative enterprises by the resource advantage of the large science & education province; we should conduct investment promotion with focus on the export-oriented economy, and build a strategic connection between the domestic cycle and the international cycle; we should conduct investment promotion with focus on the platform-based new economy, and push forward advantage complementation among the new economy, new business types, new patterns and manufacturing; we should take green development as the basis of high-quality development with focus on promoting investment by green development.

Zhao stressed that we should continue to change our style, break rigid mindsets to seek breakthroughs in development, uphold the mission and responsibility of "not claiming credit but always making contributions", advance the "top priority"-investment promotion at a high level, make breakthroughs with focus on positive and negative examples, keep optimizing the business environment, and elevate Hubei's investment promotion work to a new level in higher spirits and through more practical measures, to ensure that the annual targets and tasks of investment promotion are fulfilled.

Zhao Jun, Deputy Secretary General of the Hubei Provincial People's Government, chaired the conference. Present were Song Huiqin, Deputy Commissioner of the Commissioner's Office of the Ministry of Commerce in Wuhan, as well as heads of relevant departments directly under the provincial government and committee, cities and prefectures. The conference reported the situation of Hubei's investment promotion work. The Hubei Federation of Industry and Commerce, the Department of Culture and Tourism of Hubei Province, the Representative Office of the Hubei Provincial People's Government in Shenzhen, Jingzhou, Wuhan and Yichang delivered speeches. The attendees also visited the microwave and radio frequency product industrialization project of CASIC, Hubei Yijun Yaoneng New Materials Co., Ltd., Midea High-end Refrigerator Industry Park and Jingzhou Fantawild Oriental Heritage.
