Added value of Jingzhou's high-tech industries exceeds 16 billion yuan in first half of 2021

As a domestic manufacturer of special petroleum vehicles and large structural components, with an annual output of 100 units (sets) and sales revenues of 150 million yuan, the company has kept achieving breakthroughs in products through technology innovation, sold products to key domestic oilfields, and reached out to countries and regions such as Europe and America. According to a source from the Jingzhou Science and Technology Bureau on July 29, Jingzhou has continued to foster and support small and medium-sized sci-tech enterprises (sci-tech SMEs), gone all out to promote the development of high-tech industries, striven for funds and projects, and stepped up efforts to develop innovation platforms, thus achieving significant results. In the first half of 2021, the added value of Jingzhou's high-tech industries was 16.07 billion yuan, up 36.9 percent year on year.

443 enterprises reported R&D input in the first half of 2021, up 28.03 percent year on year, accounting for more than 30 percent of industrial enterprises above the designated size; Jingzhou continued to foster and support sci-tech SMEs, and steadily advanced the evaluation registration of sci-tech SMEs, with 503 sci-tech SMEs registered for evaluation in the first half of 2021, accounting for 89.82 percent of the annual plan, moving up to the third in Hubei; 167 enterprises started to be incubated, accounting for 53.87 percent of the annual plan. Jingzhou selected 370 enterprises into the library of high-tech enterprises for incubation, and declared the first 75 high-tech enterprises. The added value of Jingzhou's high-tech industries was 16.07 billion yuan in the first half of 2021, up 36.9 percent year on year, which is expected to account for approximately 13 percent of Jingzhou's GDP.

Jingzhou has applied for establishing Hubei Oil & Gas Industrial Technology Research Institute, Hubei Jingzhou Automotive Parts Industry Technology Institute, as well as the Ministry-Province State Key Laboratory of Unconventional Oil & Gas Geology and Engineering. In the first half of 2021, Jingzhou applied for 14 sci-tech projects, filed 67 new research institutes under construction with the Department of Science and Technology of Hubei Province, including 3 industrial technology research institutes and 64 enterprise-university united innovation center. In the first half of 2021, Jingzhou organized "Integration of 100 Schools, Transformation of 1,000 Achievements" Technology Achievement Matchmaking Meeting of Hubei Academy of Agricultural Sciences & Enterprise-School Technology Matchmaking Meeting of Yangtze University, and selected 40 technical cooperation projects to negotiate with Shanghai. In the first half of 2021, Jingzhou registered technical contracts with a total transaction volume of 4 billion yuan, up 60.7 percent year on year.
