Following the Work Mobilization Conference of the Third Central Inspection Group on Ecological and Environmental Protection in Hubei, Jingzhou immediately convened a tele-conference on the second-round central ecological and environmental protection inspection on August 31. Wu Jin, Secretary of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee, attended the conference. He stressed that we should earnestly implement Xi Jinping's thought on eco-civilization, and seize the important opportunity of the central inspection on ecological and environmental protection, to build a beautiful Jingzhou and rise through green development.

Wu stressed that we should make correction, focus on addressing the problems arising in the inspection on ecological and environmental protection, those reported in reviews and public complaints, as well as those the public has voiced strong concern over, and make up deficiencies in ecology and environment in an accelerated manner, so as to bring Jingzhou's eco-civilization construction and ecological and environmental work to a new level. We should perform respective responsibilities, give full cooperation, enhance organizational leadership, make immediate correction, enforce work discipline strictly, seriously treat the central inspection on ecological and environmental protection and coordinate the work from a political perspective, and turn pressure into motivation and responsibilities into actions, so as to ensure the complete success of the inspection work.

Zhou Zhihong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee and Mayor of the Jingzhou Municipal People's Government, stressed that we should closely integrate the municipal seminar on "breaking rigid mindsets to seek breakthroughs in development" and accelerating the building of a regional center city with the central inspection on ecological and environmental protection; should closely integrate the ecological and environmental management of the Honghu lake, the pollution control of key enterprises in development zones at all levels, the water treatment of central urban areas, the correction of the problems reported in the central and provincial inspection on ecological and environmental protection, the regulation of the waterfront of the Yangtze River and other key points, as well as Jingzhou's eco-civilization construction; should closely integrate the responsibility of the work leading group with full mobilization to implement specific work; should closely integrate immediate correction with flexible correction, firmly eliminate superficial, perfunctory and false correction; and should closely integrate responsibility with accountability to ensure the complete success of the inspection.

Shi Fangbin, a commissioner for provincial inspection on ecological and environmental protection, attended the conference. Also present were municipal leaders including Duan Changlin, Wang Shouwei, Li Kai, Jiang Hong, Tang Tongxin, Liu Hui, Li Shuibin, Liu Huiwen, Deng Yingjun, Sun Yuqiu, Huang Zhen, Li Gan, Jia Li and Peng Xianrong, as well as heads of the Jingzhou Intermediate People's Court and the Jingzhou People's Procuratorate. The parallel sessions took place in towns, county-level cities and districts under Jingzhou.
