The Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs has recently released the recommendation list of Hubei's key leisure agriculture parks in 2021, selecting 350 entities into the list. According to the Jingzhou Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Jingzhou has 25 entities on the list, which will be good destinations for country travelers.

In light of the actualities of Hubei's leisure agriculture and rural tourism, based on "agriculture, rural areas and rural residents", provincial key leisure agriculture parks aim to make provincial leisure agriculture grow bigger, stronger and better, develop new agricultural functions, explore the value of rural areas, stimulate their vitality, promote rural rejuvenation, and maintain rural features and idyllic scenery. These parks should hold legal business qualifications, have sound management systems, provide standardized services, be planned in a scientific manner, have reasonable layouts, rely on agriculture and rural areas, and feature sightseeing, picking, fishing, farming, agricultural science popularization, country accommodation, study and education, outward bound and health preservation.

In recent years, Jingzhou has pressed ahead with the supply-side structural reform of agriculture, focused on addressing the imbalance between supply and demand, changed the mode of agricultural development in an accelerated manner, sped up agricultural transformation, and vigorously developed leisure agriculture and rural sightseeing tourism, so as to achieve substantial social and economic benefits. Staying in rural houses, eating rural food, doing farm work and learning agricultural skills has become a fad of rural tours in Jingzhou. Featured rural tours, based on scenic spots, folk customs, farming and the integration of "agricultural production, agricultural product processing and agricultural product market service", have promoted the sound and sustained development of Jingzhou's leisure agriculture and rural tourism.

There are currently 1,617 leisure agriculture business entities in Jingzhou with a total area of 66,000 mu. In 2020, Jingzhou had 40,800 leisure agriculture practitioners including 29,200 farmers, brought along 11,400 farmer households and received 12.6 million tourists.
