On September 16, Zhou Zhihong, the Deputy Secretary of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee and Mayor of Jingzhou Municipal People’s Government, presided over the economic operation scheduling meeting for the third quarter to study and judge the current economic situation and arrange the economic work at the next stage. Zhou Zhihong emphasized that it is necessary to thoroughly study the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches, fully implement the decisions and deployments of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on the economic situation in the first half of the year and economic work in the second half of the year, and work hard towards the strategic positioning of Jingzhou set by the provincial party committee and the provincial government, to ensure stable and high-quality economic growth, and make greater efforts to achieve the "wonderful year". 

The meeting reported the current economic operation and listened to the ideas and suggestions of the relevant departments on economic work at the next stage. Zhou pointed out that it is imperative to further improve the political stance, always take development as the top priority, look for problems and gaps against the benchmarks, and guarantee the goals and positions to ensure the completion of the set goals and tasks throughout the year. 

Zhou Zhihong required that it is necessary to overcome difficulties to ensure the progress, list tasks, solve problems accurately, and promote indicators to be realized in a stable and positive manner; efforts shall be made to effectively promote projects, comprehensively sort out key provincial and municipal projects, central and provincial budgetary projects, key industrial projects, urban construction projects, and transportation facilities projects, and effectively strengthen element guarantees; we must go all-out to stabilize the overall situation, strengthen bottom-line thinking, coordinate economic and social development and epidemic prevention and control, work safety, maintenance of stability by letters and complaints, and prevention and resolution of major risks, and resolutely prevent "big ups and downs" in economic operations; it is imperative to study and plan the reform of key areas, the construction of major projects, and the preparation of financial budgets in 2022 as early as possible, to strive for the initiative in economic work through early planning.
