On October 29, workers were carrying building materials on the construction site of Jingzhou East Service Zone of Shanghai-Chongqing Highway.
Located at mileage stake: K1071+500 of Shanghai-Chongqing Highway (G50) in the east of Guanyindang Town, Shashi District, Jingzhou, Jingzhou East Service Zone is an important node of G50, a traffic artery in Jingzhou's tourism area, as well as the largest service zone in Central China.
With a total investment of some 320 million yuan and a planned total area of 195,751.81 square meters (approximately 300 mu), a multifunctional highway service zone integrating the functions of parking, repair, refueling, accommodating, catering, shopping and recreation will be built in the project.
The project, expected to be completed late this year and opened to traffic next spring, is underway.
