According to a source from the 2021 China 5G+ Industrial Internet Conference, Midea will team up with China Mobile and Huawei to build the world's first plant fully powered by 5G in Jingzhou, which is expected to go into operation next June.

The proposed plant is located at Midea Washing Machine Jingzhou Industry Park in Jingzhou Economic & Technological Development Zone, with a total investment of 5 billion yuan, a planned annual output of 22 million units and estimated annual sales of more than 15 billion yuan.

Through 5G, a transparent, high-quality, efficient, eco-friendly and safe world-class model intelligent manufacturing plant will be built. The plant will integrate all production factors such as man, machine, material, method, environment and safety.

China Mobile will provide dedicated 5G services to Midea Washing Machine Jingzhou Industry Park along with Huawei, and offer optimal services such as PLC and AGV through leading technologies such as 5G LAN, 5G positioning and 5g ultra low latency, to greatly improve the plant's production efficiency.

According to a head of Hubei Midea, Jingzhou has offered all-round support to the company since its settlement, boosting Midea's confidence in bringing more top projects to Jingzhou.
