On November 22, Zhou Zhihong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee and Mayor of the Jingzhou Municipal People's Government, visited Zaolin Village, Mashan Town, Jingzhou District. We should focus on the present while keeping an eye on the future, leverage strengths, demonstrate features, build featured rural tourism brands, and promote the high-quality development of rural tourism, to boost rural rejuvenation, she said.

Through the "five-one" project (one road, one forest, one garden, one show, one table of food), Zaolin's rural leisure tourism has developed in full swing. At the village tourist reception center, Zhou inquired about the project operation and exchanged ideas with town and village officials. Jingjiang Water Culture Center is a modern water culture museum in the village, she said. We should explore the connotation of the water control culture of Jingjiang, take the center as an adolescent practice and education base, and organically integrate it with red tourism and rural tourism, to form scale effects of tourism. She also visited Jingdiyuan Aquaculture Cooperative, inquiring about the development of the village's featured agricultural industries.

Zhou noted that Zaolin's rural tourism is characteristic and connotative. We should tap cultural tourism resources, and convert the environmental and resources advantage of rural areas into development advantage. We should come up with new ideas, and develop rural tours such as leisure sightseeing and folk culture tour according to local conditions, to improve rural tourism. Based on the superior traffic location of Jingzhou-Dangyang Tourism Highway, we should promote the integrated development of cultural tourism and agricultural tourism, transform traffic arteries into industrial lines, and allow the people to share more outcomes of rural tourism development.

Zhou stressed that we should guide rural tourism by high-quality planning, and accelerate the creation of a rural tourism development pattern with distinct regional features, rational functional layout and rich cultural connotation, adhere to market-oriented development, conduct scientific planning and design, develop a number of high-standard projects from a high starting point, promote the all-round development of infrastructure, cultural inheritance, industrial development, feature integration and management operation, and go all out to build rural tourism into an ecological project, a development project and a livelihood project.
