The Meeting on Completion Acceptance of Integrated Improvement Project of Jingjiang Levee was held on the morning of December 22. Present were Jiao Taiwen, Deputy Director of the Department of Water Resources of Hubei Province; and Deng Yingjun, Vice Mayor of the Jingzhou Municipal People's Government.

Jiao noted that completion acceptance is a test of the previous construction works, as well as a new start for making up engineering deficiencies and advancing high-quality development. The operation and management entities should hand over work smoothly, strengthen levee management, and persistently leverage engineering outcomes to keep the Yangtze River safe and sound.

As a national first-class levee, Jingjiang Levee is crucial to the flood control system of the Jingjiang River and plays a strategic role in the entire flood control system of the Yangtze River, Deng said. Jingzhou will continue to improve the flood control system of the Jingjiang River, accelerate the reconstruction of the Wancheng, Guanyinsi and Yanjiatai sluices of Jingjiang Levee, and step up efforts to further improve the flood control capacity of the levee.

The attendees watched a construction video, listened to the work report on engineering construction management and the work report on technical pre-acceptance, and adopted the completion acceptance certificate upon a discussion. The completion acceptance committee approved of accepting the integrated improvement project of Jingjiang Levee.
