The Jingzhou Municipal People's Government signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Hubei Geological Bureau (HGB) on the afternoon of January 13. Wu Jin, Secretary of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee; and Hu Daoyin, Party Secretary and Director General of HGB attended and addressed the signing ceremony. Zhou Zhihong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee and Mayor of the Jingzhou Municipal People's Government, hosted the ceremony.

Addressing the ceremony, Wu extended his heartfelt thanks to HGB for its permanent support to Jingzhou in urban construction, ecological and environmental protection, resources, and disaster prevention and reduction. He noted that the whole city of Jingzhou was accelerating efforts to build a regional center city supported and led by "five areas and five centers", creating a broad space and platform for the in-depth cooperation between the two sides. Through the signing of this agreement, with the greatest sincerity, best services and optimal environment, Jingzhou will fully support HGB in geological surveys and geological disaster prevention and control in Jingzhou, he said, hoping that HGB would continue to support Jingzhou, empower Jingzhou, deepen operations in Jingzhou, and provide strong support for the high-quality development of Jingzhou in terms of resources, environment, safety and geological technology.

Hu expressed his appreciation to the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee and the Jingzhou Municipal People's Government for their concern and support for geological development. HGB will leverage its professional strengths, to provide outstanding geological services to Jingzhou in such aspects as clean energy, selenium-rich soil and resources survey, and promote the performance of this agreement item by item based on project lists, thereby contributing to regional center city building.

At the signing ceremony, Huang Zhen, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee and Vice Mayor of the Jingzhou Municipal People's Government; and Ma Yuan, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director General of HGB signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Under this agreement, the two sides will, under the principle of "equality and mutual benefit, advantage complementation, mutual support, long-term cooperation, common development", jointly advance cooperation in geological disaster prevention and control, ecological and environmental protection and restoration, mineral resources and clean energy survey and development, and natural resources conservation and utilization.
