Jingzhou's industrial economy grew steadily overall in 2021. Jingzhou's industrial investment was up 39.6% from 2020, ranking 2nd in Hubei, accounting for 33.6% of Jingzhou's fixed assets investment; Jingzhou's investment in industrial technology renovation was up 66.6% from 2020, ranking 4th in Hubei, accounting for 33.4% of Jingzhou's industrial investment; Jingzhou had 1,267 industrial enterprises above the designated size, ranking 5th in Hubei and selected 150 enterprises as industrial enterprises above the designated size, ranking 3rd in Hubei.

The total revenues and profits of industrial enterprises above the designated size continued to grow. Jingzhou's industrial enterprises above the designated size achieved total revenues of 232.21 billion yuan and total profits of 12.23 billion yuan in 2021, up 15.7% and up 0.5% from 2020 respectively, up 10.3% and up 1.2% from 2019 respectively. 14.2% of Jingzhou's industrial enterprises made losses, down 1.3% from 2020. The total losses of loss-making enterprises were down 6.2% from 2020.

Key enterprises gave a strong boost. Jingzhou's top 100 enterprises achieved a total output value of 145.68 billion yuan in 2021, up 30.54 billion yuan or 26.5% from 2020, contributing 76.8% to Jingzhou's industrial growth, driving up the output value of industrial enterprises above the designated size by 13.9%. Hubei Midea reported an output value of 12.35 billion yuan, up 3.7 billion yuan from 2020.

The industrial structure continued to improve. 30 out of 35 industrial sectors in Jingzhou continued to grow, accounting for 85.7%.

Industrial production recovered steadily. The total added value of Jingzhou's industrial enterprises above the designated size in 2021 grew by 13%, up 5.5% from 2019 in terms of growth. The total output value was 259.13 billion yuan, up 18.1% from 2020 and up 10.4% from 2019 (5.1% on average).
