Hubei Hanc New Technology Co., Ltd. (Hanc) engaged in the R&D and production of drilling fluids has established China's first oilfield chemistry research platform--Hubei Research Institute of Oilfield Chemistry Technology for own use and cooperation with peer companies. The company aims to achieve an output value of over 300 million yuan this year.

In the laboratory of Hanc, the staff members were conducting a detection analysis of a drilling fluid tackifier developed in December 2021. The tackifier mainly used in large oil wells is expected to come into use in March 2022.

Hanc's eco-friendly drilling fluids up to advanced international standards can well protect the ecological environment of oilfield mining areas, and have been used successfully in over 100 producing wells in Xinjiang Oilfield, Jidong Oilfield, Bohai Oilfield and other oilfields. The company has obtained over 30 patents for invention to date. For years, the company has provided enterprises in the industrial chain with product quality test and raw materials detection services.

Hanc has become a drilling fluid supplier for Petro China, Petrochemical and CNOOC, oilfields in countries like Venezuela, as well as international petroleum corporations like Apache. Nearly one third of the company's employees are highly educated, including 3 professors, 4 doctors and 15 masters. To develop sophisticated industrial technologies, the company plans to bring in 20 talents this year to strengthen its research team, and further step up the R&D of products with high added value to increase its output value.
