The Work Meeting on Major Projects in Jingzhou New Energy & New Materials Industry Base was held in Jiangling on February 26. Wu Jin, Secretary of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee, attended the meeting. He stressed that the new energy & new materials industry base is an important fulcrum for the industrial rejuvenation and rise of Jingzhou. We should gather strengths, plan ahead, pay high attention to the work, and strive to include the construction of the industrial base into relevant national plans and the provincial industrial strategy, thereby boosting the building of a provincial regional center city in central Hubei.

Wu noted that we should seize opportunities and leverage strengths, to achieve new breakthroughs in area expansion and adjustment, resources allocation, energy consumption and emission, grid support and rail-water combined transport, thus achieving tangible results in industrial base construction within three years.

Wu required that we should conduct overall planning, promote the contiguous development of Jiangling County and Jingzhou Economic & Technological Development Zone, and strengthen industrial integration with Gong'an Qingji Industrial Park, so as to make substantial progress in cross-river development, the eastward development of urban areas and the integrated development of urban areas and rural areas.

Wu stressed that Jiangling should assume the mission with courage, speed up the development of a "small giant" county, accelerate the introduction of leading enterprises and supporting enterprises like Hualu-Hengsheng and Jinjiang, study work such as chain strengthening and upgrading, industry chain investment promotion and the development of the cyclic economy, improve officials' capabilities and conduct in alignment with major park construction, and promote the rebuilding of mechanism and environment.

The meeting also discussed the specific problems arising in the construction of the industrial park and the settlement of major projects like Jinjiang New Materials.
