At present, the main project of Midea Washing Machine Jingzhou Industrial Park has been completed, and equipment installation and commissioning are under way. Meanwhile, the greening and road drainage system of the industrial park are also in full swing. The main structures of plants, offices, dormitories, restaurants and auxiliary rooms in Midea Washing Machine Jingzhou Industrial Park have been basically completed. Production equipment of different types is being transported into the site quickly and entering the intensive installation and commissioning stage. Mass production will be realized by the end of June. 

The first phase of Midea Washing Machine Jingzhou Industrial Park has five workshops: final assembly workshop, sheet metal workshop, injection molding workshop, electronics workshop and R&D and testing workshop. After the industrial park is put into operation, it will produce three categories, namely drums, impellers and clothes dryers with an annual production capacity of 15 million units. After the completion of the first phase, it is expected to create more than 1,000 jobs. Chen Xiaohai, deputy general manager of Hubei Midea Washing Machine Co., Ltd., said that after the completion of the washing machine factory in Jingzhou, over 80% of the work in the factory will achieve industrial automation. 

Chen Xiaohai added: Automation in this factory will have a qualitative leap forward, but it is also the replication of automation and information technology in more than 30 factories of Midea Group. In addition, some innovative demonstration points will be presented in this factory. 

Midea Washing Machine Jingzhou Industrial Park is the third largest production base funded and constructed by the Washing Machine Division of Midea Group following Wuxi and Hefei bases in China. The investment totaling RMB 5 billion is made according to overall planning and released by batch. Midea Washing Machine Jingzhou Industrial Park is constructed according to the standard of Lighthouse Factory. By making full use of the technical capabilities of software and hardware products such as industrial Internet and robot automation independently developed by Midea Group, in combination with innovative technologies such as 5G, AI, AR, big data and cloud platforms, this park has been built into a national Industry 4.0 intelligent manufacturing demonstration base with supply network connection, end-to-end delivery and sustainable development, and a benchmark factory in advanced manufacturing nationwide featuring equipment automation, production transparency, logistics intelligence, management mobility and decision-making data.
