On the morning of May 7, Jingzhou held the launching ceremony of the 75th World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day 2022 & the "Red Cross Week for Love". Yan Hong, deputy mayor and president of Jingzhou Red Cross Society, announced the kick-off of the event.

This year, the theme of the "Red Cross Week for Love" is "Life, Education - We Are in Action". At the launch ceremony, Jingzhou Red Cross Society granted a license to the Red Cross Rescue Training Base in Shashi District, and awarded banners to the volunteer service team for psychological rescue, the volunteer service team for AIDS prevention & control and publicity, the volunteer service team for emergency rescue training, the volunteer service team for voluntary blood donation and the volunteer service team for donation of hematopoietic stem cells. During the "Red Cross Week for Love" period, Jingzhou Red Cross Society will also carry out a series of life education activities, and mobilize all sectors of society to actively participate in epidemic prevention and control, popularization of health knowledge, and publicity of disaster prevention and control knowledge.
