The 12th "China Tourism Day" fell on May 19, 2022. "China Tourism Day" (Hubei), hosted by the Department of Culture and Tourism of Hubei Province and the Yichang Municipal People's Government, took place at Three Gorges Dam Tourism Area (River Closure Memorial Park), Yichang. More than 100 Chu-style lacquerware products and a variety of native products from Jingzhou were well received by guests and tourists.

Jingzhou, known as the cradle of Chu culture and an important source of world lacquerware culture, is committed to building a "Chinese lacquerware city". During the event, Jingzhou showcased more than 100 Chu-style lacquerware products from the Jingchu Institute of Intangible Cultural Heritage and Skills Inheritance, including four treasures of study, tableware, tea ware and wine ware. Designed by designers of the institute and successors to intangible cultural heritage, these products feature figurative Chu ornamentation, romantic and gorgeous colors, as well as distinctive Chu lacquer art and Chu culture. A highlight of the cultural & tourism creation bazaar, they attracted flocks of guests and tourists.

The Jingzhou booth also presented a variety of native products and cultural & creative products like Honghu's lotus root soup, lotus seed juice and lotus leaf tea, Gong'an's beef paste and Liu Bei duck, and Songzi's kudzu vine root powder and tea, attracting swarms of tourists to make inquiries and have a taste.

During the event, the hosts presented prizes to the winners of the "Nine Birds" Cultural & Tourism Creation Award. Jingzhou Ancient City contributed by Jingzhou won the second prize in the image & text category.

Jingzhou will serve a cultural & tourism feast around "China Tourism Day" by releasing policies of free admission and ticket discounts, releasing tourism support measures for the aged and disabled, and launching various people-benefiting cultural & tourism activities such as family carnival, cultural lectures, public cultural performances, civilized travel quiz and culture & tourism live streaming, to let citizens and tourists experience Jingchu culture and enjoy a wonderful journey.
