The International Day for Biological Diversity falls on May 22, 2022. The Jingzhou Municipal Ecological Environment Bureau teamed up with the Office of Jingzhou Municipal Commission of Cultural and Ethnical Development to deliver an awareness campaign on the occasion of the International Day for Biological Diversity 2022 themed by "Building a shared future for all life". The campaign aims to spread the knowledge of biodiversity, arouse the people's passion for Jingzhou, and call on the whole society to protect biodiversity and build a beautiful home.

Huang Zhen, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee and Vice Mayor of the Jingzhou Municipal People's Government, attended and addressed the campaign. He required that we should keep in mind General Secretary Xi Jinping's ardent entrustment during his visits to Hubei and Jingzhou, assume the political responsibility of protecting the Yangtze River, and strengthen biodiversity protection. He called on all citizens and families to build eco-civilization, guard biodiversity, participate in environmental protection, care for life, animals and plants, uphold green lifestyles, and contribute to ecological and biological diversity protection.

A promotional video featuring Jingzhou's achievements in biodiversity protection was broadcast on the site. Ecological and environmental volunteers took an oath to "build a shared future for all life". All the participants visited an exhibition on the biodiversity protection achievements of Yangtze River Dolphin National Nature Reserve, Shishou Tian'ezhou Elk National Nature Reserve and Honghu National Nature Reserve in Jingzhou, and partook in an activity of cleaning the waterfront of the Yangtze River.
