On the morning of June 26, "Inheritance & Innovation" Jingchu Intangible Cultural Heritage Show & the 2022 Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition opened at Jingzhou Culture and Sports Center.

Wu Jin, secretary of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee, announced the opening of the event, and Zhou Zhihong, deputy secretary of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee and mayor of Jingzhou, delivered a speech.

“The intangible cultural heritage of Jingchu conveys the historical memories and feelings of Jingchu people for their homeland, and encompasses valuable spiritual values and cultural awareness,” said Zhou. “I hope that with the word of mouth by local citizens, Jingzhou's intangible cultural products and skills will become popular all over the world. We will continue to do well in three aspects: service, inheritance and innovation, vigorously cultivate talents, improve skills, strengthen brand building, expand this market and share dividends so as to contribute to building a national cultural tourism consumption demonstration city and embark on a new journey of building a high-quality development demonstration area in Jianghan Plain. ”

The event awarded medals to the first batch of special intangible cultural heritage villages and towns in Hubei Province, the fifth batch of national intangible cultural heritage projects and the sixth batch of provincial intangible cultural heritage inheritors.

The site of the opening ceremony was divided into four areas: Chu Yun performance area, Chu Yi performance area, Chu Yue experience area and Chu Wei gathering area, integrating Chu songs and dances, traditional skills, folk customs and delicious food, and showcasing the inheritance and protection of the intangible cultural heritage in Jingzhou in an all-round way through illustration of pictures and text, exhibition of real objects, audio-visual multimedia and art performance.

After the opening ceremony, Wu Jin and Zhou Zhihong inspected the event site where they interacted with the exhibitors and gave a thumb-up to the Jingchu Cultural Innovation Products Platform.
