From June 28 to 29, Hubei Ice and Snow Industry Exchange Conference was held in Jingzhou. Leaders of provincial and municipal sports departments and directors of key enterprises from the ice and snow industry jointly worked out the blueprint for the development of Hubei Province’s ice and snow industry through field investigation and on-site communication. Shui Bing, Party Secretary and director of Hubei Provincial Sports Bureau, and Yan Hong, vice mayor of Jingzhou, attended the conference.

Shui Bing said, the 12th Party Congress of Hubei Province put forward the specific requirements of "speeding up the pace of building a strong sports province", providing action guidelines for promoting the development of Hubei's ice and snow industry. Sports departments at all levels should actively make plans and give full play to local advantages to promote the integration of ice & snow with tourism, culture, agriculture, industry, etc. It is necessary to attach importance to investment promotion, expand the ice and snow industry through internal introduction and external collaboration, jointly promote the high-quality development of the ice and snow industry, and strive to build an ice and snow sports demonstration zone.

In recent years, Yan Hong said, Jingzhou has actively explored the development of the ice and snow industry, and the city's ice and snow industry has grown rapidly from scratch. Jingzhou will take advantage of this opportunity to further promote the integration of culture, tourism and sports, vigorously develop the ice and snow industry, and make its due contributions to the building of a strong sports province.

The attendees also visited Hubei Xiangchi Sporting Goods Co., Ltd. and Ice and the Ice and Snow World of Jingzhou Xinjie Cultural Tourism City. At the roundtable forum, the attendees exchanged ideas and experience on the development of ice and snow sports and ice and snow economy in Hubei Province.
