Jingzhou Institute for Advanced Aerospace Manufacturing and New Materials Innovation inaugurated

On the morning of July 13, Jingzhou held the inaugural meeting & the first meeting of the Council of the Jingzhou Institute for Advanced Aerospace Manufacturing and New Materials Innovation (the "Institute"). Zhou Xiangyang, deputy secretary of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee, and Zhang Zhiheng, Party secretary of the 23rd Institute of the Second Academy of the China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation Limited, inaugurated for the Institute.

Zhou pointed out that the establishment of the Institute is an important measure of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee and Jingzhou Municipal Government to strengthen the R&D capability of science and technology and promote the conversion of new and old kinetic energy based on the characteristic advantages of the city, and expressed the hope that the Institute will seize the golden opportunity of deep integration of "government, industry, education, research and application" and build a highland for R&D and manufacturing, advanced materials and talents with a high starting point and high standards as early as possible, so as to promote the transformation and upgrading of the city's traditional industries and the vigorous development of high-tech industries.

Zhang said that efforts will be made to strengthen the traction of business demands for the Institute, increase talent support, give full play to the platform advantages of the Institute, open up the landing channel of aerospace technological innovation and industrial incubation, make breakthroughs in a number of core, key and common technologies, and transform a number of major scientific and technological achievements, thus helping Jingzhou build itself into a strong city.
